United’s FBLA members have returned from an exciting and successful trip to the Pennsylvania FBLA State Leadership Conference in Hershey!
We are proud to recognize the following students for advancing to the state level of competition:

A special congratulations to Jessie Sokira for earning 9th place in Introduction to Business Concepts!
We also celebrate Jimmy Tweardy for an outstanding achievement—placing 1st in Introduction to Information Technology! Jimmy has earned the opportunity to represent United this summer at the FBLA National Leadership Conference in San Antonio, Texas.
We are also proud of one of our students who provided a special moment from the conference—Faith Wirick singing the National Anthem at the opening session held at the Giant Center. During the practice round on Monday afternoon, state officers shared that approximately 8,000 people were expected to attend that evening.
What an amazing and talented young individual Faith is—we are incredibly proud of her accomplishment!

In accordance with Act 44 of 2025, the United School District is providing notification to parents and staff regarding the potential presence of a weapon on school premises or on transportation to school. The matter involved a statement a student made while on the school bus this morning which raised concerns on the part of the bus driver. At no time were students or staff threatened or in danger as the concern was investigated by school administration.
We ask that you please review the letter in its entirety as the context and details of the matter are of great importance.

🌾📚 In celebration of Pennsylvania Agriculture Literacy Week, we were excited to welcome Pennsylvania Farm Bureau members Brad and Kim Overdorff to our elementary classrooms! 🚜🐄
Brad and Kim spent time with our students sharing engaging educational materials and reading stories that highlighted the importance of agriculture in our everyday lives 🌱🍎. Their visit helped students better understand where their food comes from, the role of farmers in our communities, and the many ways agriculture impacts our world 🌍.
