Important Message from the United School District:
In accordance with Act 44 of 2025, the United School District is providing notification to parents and staff regarding the potential presence of a weapon on school premises or on transportation to school. The matter involved a statement a student made while on the school bus this morning which raised concerns on the part of the bus driver. At no time were students or staff threatened or in danger as the concern was investigated by school administration.
We ask that you please review the letter in its entirety as the context and details of the matter are of great importance.

🌾📚 In celebration of Pennsylvania Agriculture Literacy Week, we were excited to welcome Pennsylvania Farm Bureau members Brad and Kim Overdorff to our elementary classrooms! 🚜🐄
Brad and Kim spent time with our students sharing engaging educational materials and reading stories that highlighted the importance of agriculture in our everyday lives 🌱🍎. Their visit helped students better understand where their food comes from, the role of farmers in our communities, and the many ways agriculture impacts our world 🌍.

We’re proud of these two teams of United Elementary STEM students who competed in the Regional STEM Design Competition today. They were tasked with inventing a part of a factory that utilized sustainable and environmentally friendly practices, constructing a prototype, and presenting their project to a panel of judges. Thank you for representing United School District so well!

As part of a STEM community partnership with Wood Crest Point Farms, students in the United Sr. High Introduction to Commercial Drone Flight course have been assembling and calibrating a XAG P150 agricultural drone.
Once the project is completed, one of our students will use the drone this summer to assist with agricultural mapping and farming operations.
We truly value community partnerships like this that provide our students with hands-on, real-world learning experiences that help prepare them for success beyond high school. Lion Pride! 🦁✈️🌾

This is a great opportunity to learn more about these programs and ask questions before scheduling is finalized for the 2026–2027 school year.
