The Local Task Force (LTF) is delighted to invite you to our Annual Parent Support Dinner, an evening dedicated to fostering relationships and educating on the Local Task Force.
We understand that raising a child with special needs comes with unique challenges, triumphs, and questions.
This annual dinner is a welcoming event to introduce you to the Local Task Force and why you play an important role.

Long-Term Substitute K-12 Special Education/ESL Teacher


On September 24, 2024, twenty students from United Middle School participated in the Indiana County Envirothon. The Envirothon was held at Blue Spruce park. Students competed in the following categories: Forestry, Wildlife, Soils and Land Use , Current Issue, and Aquatics Ecology. Each team listened to a presentation and then completed a quiz. The scores from all the stations were added together to decide the winner. The highest possible score was 100.
The results were United 8 White team tied for first place with a score of 97. The tie breaker criteria was highest score at a specific station and correct answers on specific questions designated as tie breaker questions. This resulted in United 8 White taking 3rd place. The team members were Ava Lichtenfels, Jackson Beaver, Bryce Boothby, Simon Duncan, and Jenna Elkin. The United 8 Blue team also participated and the team members were Sophia Harris, Marleigh Volk, Slyvia Dillner, Shana Garland, and Wyatt Shaw.
The United 7 White team received 1st place with a score of 98 out of 100 points. The team members were Andrew Buchkoski, Austin Frampton, Madi Oliver, Ona Sisitki, and Madison Tweardy. The United 7 Blue team also participated in the Envirothon. The team members were Lyam Penatzer, Quinn Respet, Keller Uncapher, Lillian Walbeck, Weston McNutt.
Congratulations to all the teams for an outstanding performance at the 2025 Jr. Envirothon!!!
