The United School District has a rich tradition of seeing its graduates experience amazing successes during and following their time at United. The school district has developed a Hall of Fame to annually honor these outstanding individuals that will see its inaugural class selected during the Fall of 2025.

Student Driver Applications will be accepted starting this week as follows:
Wednesday, August 13 - 8:30 am - 12:00 pm - Seniors
Thursday, August 14 - 8:30 am - 12:00 pm - Juniors
Friday, August 15 - 8:30 - 12:00 pm - Sophomores or anyone who still needs one
The cost is $10.00
*must have a valid Pennsylvania Driver's License

Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP)
CHIP covers uninsured children and teens up to age 19 – and no family earns too much to qualify. With nearly 128,000 uninsured children in Pennsylvania, this is great news for families!
CHIP provides quality, comprehensive health insurance for routine doctor’s visits, prescriptions, dental, eye care, eyeglasses, mental health, and much more. CHIP covers uninsured kids who are not eligible for Medical Assistance. For many families, CHIP is free – for others, it is low cost.

SUN MEALS - Summer Program Information
National School Lunch Program (NSLP) offers information regarding the availability and locations of free meals for students over the summer months, served through the Summer Food Service Program (SFSP) and the Seamless Summer Option (SSO). These two programs, along with SUN Meals to Go (Rural Non-Congregate summer meals), and SUN Bucks (also known as Summer EBT), are collectively called Sun Meals.

8th grader Cameron Graham took second place in Pennsylvania in the Elks Americanism Essay Contest. Cameron wrote on the topic “What Does Patriotism Mean to Me?” The local contest was sponsored by Elks Lodge #406 in Blairsville.
Blairsville Lodge Exalted Ruler, Jamie Vasas, said four other United students also placed at the district level of the Elks writing contest.
7th graders Sylvia Dillner and Samantha Uadiski, along with 8th graders Kaylan Burkett, and Sophie Mack had essays that were chosen for their writing excellence.
Cameron became the 4th United student to place at the state level guided by United English teacher, Michelle Dunn and sponsored by the Blairsville lodge.

United Jr./Sr. High School Class of 2025 Commencement Ceremony will occur Friday, May 30, 2025 at 6:30 PM in the Auditorium.
Attendees are asked to bring their ticket.
The ceremony will be streamed on the United School District Youtube Channel beginning at 6:30 PM.
