Welcome to United School District. Please feel free to contact our office between the hours of 8:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. for regular school hours. Summer hours reflect a time difference of 8:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m.
Dr. Barbara Parkins began her educational career as an elementary teacher, junior high school teacher, alternative education teacher, high school teacher, and reading specialist. Following her teaching experience at these various levels, Dr. Parkins served as an assistant principal, principal, and superintendent prior to coming to United.

Education:
  • Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown
  • Masters of Education in Reading Education from Indiana University of Pennsylvania
  • Principal Certification from Indiana University of Pennsylvania
  • Superintendent Letter of Eligibility from Nova Southeastern University
  • Doctorate in Educational Leadership from Nova Southeastern University
